2023 Summer Bash Results

Miller Plant Farm was host to the Diane Miller Gift of Hope Fund Summer Bash 5K and Fun run on Saturday, August 5, 2023. 100% of the Diane Miller Gift of Hope Fund (DMGOHF) event proceeds of $48,049.81 were presented to the WellSpan York Cancer Patient Help Fund. This is a record amount for this event. Since the event began in 2017, nearly $200,000 has been raised benefitting local citizens battling cancer.
The day’s festivities began with the Farm Fresh 5K and fun run. Dustyn Miller, 5th Generation Farmer at Miller Plant Farm, welcomed racers by saying “Good Morning and welcome 2023 Farm Fresh 5k runners and spectators! My name is Dustyn Miller of Miller Plant Farm and also board member of the Diane Miller GOH fund. I would like to offer thanks to the many folks who made this race possible today. This fund has been established so that we may continue to support those in our community in need of assistance with living expenses while undergoing their battle with cancer. The money raised from the race will now be collected in honor and legacy of my mother, and to many of you a friend and neighbor, Diane Miller”.
Out of a field of 200+ runners, Griffen Ridler of Manchester had a winning time and new record of 17:55. Second place Wyatt Peeling of Mt. Wolf with a time of 19:05 and Justin Krebs of York third with a time of 19:07. Nicole Register was the top female running with a finishing time of 22:11. The top male and female winners received a $50 gift card to the Miller Plant Farm and Metro Diner. Overall winner of the Kids Fun Runs was Palmer Miller.
Dave Miller, President of the DMGOHF said at the presentation, “Our goal is to break the $50,000 mark next year on August 3rd, 2024."
